My passion for interior design started in the fourth grade when my father told me I should consider design as a career. That was it. I was going to be an Interior Designer (phew, that was settled!). When it was time to make that goal a reality, off to college I went armed with an adorable yellow comforter that was going to make my dorm room a happy place.
path and vision
I am proud to have studied at the Virginia Polytechnic Institute to pursue my passion in interior design. After graduating I spent the next 10 years working along side many of the world's top commercial designers and architects at Gensler in Washington DC.
In 2010 I launched JTWdesign LLC, a boutique design studio that specializes in creating spaces that are functional, personal, and beautiful. My experience in commercial interior design has provided me a critical eye for organized spaces and a keen attention to detail. I believe that the design of your house should reflect your style, not be too serious and should always, always make you feel at home. Design for me is not something I do, it's a part of who I am and I cannot wait to share that with you!
